The system operates with two units; an indoor unit, installed in the ceiling cavity and an outdoor unit, these are connected by piping that carries refrigerant from the outside to the inside unit. A fan and evaporator coil, located in the inside unit, circulate the warm air into the unit, to be conditioned and delivered back out into the room, via vents, discreetly installed in the ceiling.
